Biography

Salvatore Francomacaro is an Information Security specialist and Smart Cards, Identity Management SME. He has worked in many industries covering several aspects of the Information security domain: SC application design (Navy Cash ePurse), Smart Card framework for operating systems, Standards and Security Policies. He has served as Chairman of the INCITS B10.12 standard body (IC with Contacts and Interoperability). Currently he serves as the Vice-Chair of the US National Cybersecurity standard body CS1. He works at NIST, Computer Security Division, and he is one of the editors for the FIPS 201 specifications and associated publications.
